View Full Version : Ideal/Lyman 360302 & 456401
I am looking for the old Ideal/Lyman Himmelwright design 360302 and the 456401 moulds. I would appreciate any leads. If anyone has either of these moulds I would love to get a small handful of the bullets for some experiments.
Thanks,
Jerry

I think I may have gotten the #456401 from an estate buy last year. Not shure will try to look sometime today.
The 360302-s looks to be for BP for shure but the 45 is a smokless design.

I can provide you with samples from each of these moulds (provided that you're not in a tearing hurry).
Bullshop's comment regarding the 302 is spot on: this bullet performs best over gunpowder. I've had fine results out to 25 yards shooting these from an early hand ejector target. You may want to experiment with deep seating these over somewhat reduced charges of black powder, this was a common practice with gallery loads a hundred years ago.
Feel free to send your mailing/shipping address via e-mail, I'll get samples on the way to you within a week or two.
