I saw an ad for this new rifle and got to looking into it, pretty neat concept but how are they working? I know Federal says you can't reload the cartridge but....any news on that? Thanks

So it's a cartridge gun that has to have the bullet stuffed down the barrel. The question is, why? What niche does it fill? How is it advantageous over other muzzleloaders? It's something different for the sake of being different.

From what I read the purpose is to make it safer by allowing you to unload the rifle without having to shoot it or pull the bullet. The sealed cartridge also keeps moisture out of the powder. Different for the sake of being different? Not so sure about that but you never know. Federal says the cartridges are not reloadable but I'm thinking that concept won't last long.

The few Facebook posts that I've read about it indicated that folks were really happy with its accuracy.
And then there was a lady who shot a really large Iowa buck at 160 yards, her first deer kill.
Simplifying muzzle loading to help prevent loading errors is good for the sport.
If it helps get new BP hunters into the field than it provides an important benefit.

There's a youtube video where a husband gave one to his wife for her birthday because she really wanted one.
It was enough to give me the giggles to see another happy and motivated enough by it to want to go hunting.
I hope that more states make it legal to use during their BP hunting seasons.
Breech loading percussion and flint guns have always been discriminated against in most state hunting reg's, perhaps due to their lower powder charges.
But this design doesn't have that problem.
