I started out smelting with a cast iron skillet about the size of what you have. It wasn’t deep enough and though I could scoop the lead out with a ladle and dump in my muffin pan, the last ones were tough. I scored an old heavy stainless pot that’s a lot deeper. (Thanks mom!!)It works better and makes the process go a little faster.

Nice video. I subscribed to your channel. I’m starting out at casting and reloading so I’m sure I’ll reference your videos a lot to learn a thing or two

Good presentation. Suggestions: no pets in the area for their safety, get a deeper SS or iron pot. Do not use aluminum, it will fail.
