I took my old .38 S&W top break to the range today for a little fun.

Always good to see old pocket guns get out to the range.

I used to have a big collection of that era revolvers... after a big sell off of guns over this last year, I have it paired down to a rack of 12 or so... I'm partial to the top breaks, or at least full frames that have loading gates, & or interesting features like folding hammers, etc...

Thanks for sharing. Interesting that you noted changing out the powder for blackhorn209. You use a full case of that like you would blackpowder?

Yes, BH209 is a bulk replacement for black powder. In this case I used a Lee .7cc scoop weighing 6.5gr. The original black powder load was 13gr of 3F.
