I can guarantee I'm not the first person to think of this but because of the keywords in the search there is too much stuff unrelated to my question. Here goes:

I want one boolit for 9mm and 38spc. It needs to have a cannelure for 38 and it can be unused in 9mm. My 9mm's are fine with .359 and that's what I use in 38. I'm thinking a 125-130 grain round nose which is necessary for the bullet traps at my indoor range. I know this concept will work but I don't see any mold that fits the bill. Has there ever been a group buy custom run that anyone remembers?

The Lee 358-125 RF if a round nose flat point will work, otherwise they make a 150gr round nose with a crimp groove. All the Lee molds drop a little fat and heavy for me so far. My 356-120-TC drops .3585-.3590 and about 125gr with my alloy, and I size them down to .357 for 9mm.

I'm doing something just like this for a Blackhawk 45 Convertible (45 ACP cylinder). An Accurate Mold for 45 ACP in a tumble lube design where the top groove can be used as a roll crimp groove or ignored for the 45 ACP in 1911's. The RBH 45 ACP cylinder will be used mostly with Starline 45 Special brass.

Here's to hoping it works out for both of us...

I use the Lee 358-125rf for 38 special and 9mm with Universal powder.
When I seat it in the 9mm case the crimp groove is showing

When I seat it in the 9mm case the crimp groove is showingI seated them down past the crimp groove to 1.030" in 9mm and they shot fine with 3.5gr of Titegroup. No signs of overpressure or leading with them sized to .357 (.356 keyholed, .358 left a little lead), I just got better groupings with the 356-120-TC.

I use a Summers 200 grain RNFP Hi-Tek with a crimp grove in both 45 colt and acp works great for my use.

It has to be round nose. I'll check out a custom mould. Thanks for the help
