hey i was reading reviews on this pot off midway and some guy said that it has just over a 10 pounds cap on a 20 pound melter. does anyone have this item and can tell me what you really can fit into it. im seriously thinking abuot using this verses a bottom feed. thanks all agian

I've got two of them that I use for ladel dipping of 45-70 and 38-55 BPCR bullets. I haven't really checked to see what they hold but they certainly don't hold 20 lbs of lead but probably at least 12-13 lbs. I recently cast about 300 330 gr 38-55's alternating dips between pots because I was using two different moulds, and used about 2/3's of each pot. They're also good for keeping a bottom fill filled up when using a 6 holer.

About 15 lbs brings mine to within a 1/2 inch of the top.
