Have been shooting my old handejector target model 38.I gave it a super duty cleaning,with jb paste.this ol girl has pitting in chambers,and first 2 inches of bore.
Amagine my surprise today,,148 wc,,were hitting paper sideways at 25yds.after 10 or 11 shots,she settled right down,and this ol antique will shoot consistant sub 2 inches groups.
Somehow,that pitting had to fill up with fouling,before the boolit would grab the rifiling.thought you people might find it intresting.

I had one too, a 1907 2nd model hand ejector. I got it for $250 and it was in good condition. I gave it to a friend who had to sell all his guns to raise cash. I told him he cannot sell it therefore he would always have a gun.
