M1861 - 1863 tool. Possibly for one of the Allin muskets (trapdoor) Springfield. It may be a repro.

My guess was going to be a tool for the .45-70 Trapdoor. But they made several similar tools for different rifles.

I guess a few fellers know what gun it is intended for, but no one knows it's actual use?
