So I have begun using R quite a bit at the office, both as a query tool and to do some basic statistics analysis. For those unfamiliar, R is a programming language and free software. Given that free part, there's an awful lot of community support and teach yourself X available online.

While by no means an expert (barely literate might be more accurate), I get the sense there's a lot of potential in the computing power and statistical analysis of the software. This leads me to wonder if anyone has some scripts or packages put together for the shooting community. I'm thinking calculating trajectories, ballistic coefficients, modeling load performance, etc.

Python has a lot aswell. It has built in math, static and plating tools. I found them playing with python but I haven't actually played with any of it. I use static analysis with a Spread sheat.
