I'm just getting interested in swaging and wondering if you could have a die made to swage Beartooth Piledriver style bullets?

Hoytflinger:

One could make a Swage Die set similar to your Beartooth Piledriver. From the base to the start of the Ogive could be straight, then the nose tapered with a flat Nose. It is not possible to make the grease grooves in a swage die - you could put multiple "Cannelures" on the outside of the bullet after swaging by using a Cannelure Tool similar to Corbins - http://www.corbins.com/hct-1.htm

This would provide a small area/grove you could use to hold lube; but it might or might not provide enough lube for your application. Or of course; there is always Lee Liquid Alox you could use on the entire bullet.

Alternatively; you could consider a Paper Patched bullet shaped similar to what you want. http://www.corbins.com/ppatch.htm

Or you could powdercoat instead of using lube... BT Sniper makes a great SWC for 45 cal. This picture is a 300gr .429 (44 Mag) powdercoated and then Swaged up in BT's die. Shoots great!
