I am now shooting multiple .450-.600 groups @ 50 yards with the rcbs200. Things are starting to look good. I am shooting alot harder alloy now, but i still have to stay around 2000 f.p.s., if i go above this, the gun turns into a shotgun. Have 3 different powders now, that will give me sub inch groups,on demand. H-335,IMR3031,and V-133.

What rifle are you shooting? I have a T/C 14" Contender barrel in 35 Rem and am considering a lever action rifle. I'll probably go with a Marlin 336 if I can find a nice one at a good price now that deer season is over here for the year.

What alloy are you using ? Do you know the actual hardness?I have an old Marlin and I have the RCBS mold and want to take it hunting.

my wife has killed to boar and two whitetail with that bullet at 1900 fps and all were one shot quick clean kills so I wouldnt worry about going any faster. The bullets were cast out of 5050 ww/lino with a bhn of about 18. Dont know if they expanded and dont really care as they killed quick and punched right through. What more could you ask for.

My current alloy is 15-1 ww/babbit, and waterdropped. Dont have a hardness tester,so i aint got a clue what they test. All I know is that they shoot! Also, I size .358, and have never had any leading in this gun.

mainiac, I think you're done. :drinks: Only thing left is to move back to 100 yds and get it sighted in, then go out and keel somethin' with it. :Fire:
