Been getting set up to load for the new 300 ham'r. Only powders that really shine are 1680 and cfe blk. I scored a few lbs of 1680 off my buddy. About gave up on cfe blk. Got an email from midway yesterday that it was back in stock. I ordered 4 lbs of it. Maybe things are going to start to change.

Thats a good sign. Was at my favorite shop this past friday, they had most powders in stock including Varget. No cfeblk or H 4198 but most everything else. Im well stocked so I didn't buy anything. I did notice his prices were up on the powders he had just stocked, he has always been a little high. I always pay with cash so he gives a little discount.

Just started using CFE BLK in 300 BO cast loads. I was having problems with 175 grain loads with 296 and 4227 not locking the bolt back at loads that I thought were getting to warm... CFE solved that problem for me, but left me with a minor issue in that the cases are so full of power that I run out of capacity and can't compress any more even though I could go hotter.

got another email this time from brownells saying they had 110 barnes tssx 300 bo bullets in stock. they been impossible to find for quite a while. I ordered 6 boxes. Now if someone would have small pistol primers and imr4350 in stock id be all set. those are the only two things im getting short on. In a pinch i could get by with small rifle primers in the handguns and have LOTS of those and have re19 and some aa4350 left but not alot. Could stand some 4831 too.
