I bought this some time ago and started learning 1878 repair work at that time. The revolver was from 1881 and missing some parts, but it had a really nice hand made leather shoulder holster which I can't date, but the leather is thick, flexible, soft and in good condition. It had been replated sometime in the past and I had to source some parts for it from Jack's First Parts along with a complete ejector. Made a new front sight from scratch that I'm going to try brush plating on to see how close I can get. After that it's going to get some BP 45 Colts and we'll see how well it does. The grips I had made from giraffe bone which has an ivory appearance but without all the legal restrictions you get with ivory. I told the grip maker they were perfect for what I was looking for.
