My buddy has a sears ranger 410 bolt action with a broken bolt that he wants to get fixed for his kid. The issue is we can't seem to identify what make and model it is. I thought it was a savage 18c or similar due to the 3 piece bolt body. But the broken parts don't match the pictures on numerich. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201203/9f3f52719492cda99c282a3ac04d1b0d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201203/924bfcb1a857d6fe51b680cf9ccdc9ab.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201203/3e60c9a00d2222cb815caa835aadc368.jpg

What number model is it?
"The Sears Model 101.1380 is a variant of the Springfield Model 18 or the Stevens Model 58C which was made in the period 1937-1981.
There are no records to give a more exact date, however, if made in the period 1949-1969, your shotgun should have the Savage/Stevens date code which is a 1/4" diameter circle located on the receiver or barrel which contains one or two numbers and a letter. The letter is the date code which began in 1949; A = 1949, B = 1950, C = 1951, D = 1952, etc.
If made between 1969 and 1980, when Sears discontinued marketing firearms, your shotgun will have a serial number consisting of a letter prefix and 6 numerals. Post your serial number if you have one stamped on the shotgun for date of manufacture."

Looks like an overgrown Springfield Meteor .22LR single shot. I would bet it's a Springfield.

Looks like a Savage/Springfield/Stevens 58 series from here, if that's a sheet metal lug between the barrel and receiver it may be a 58 series E.

Cocking piece and stock design sure are similar to my Grandpa’s old Stevens Buckhorn 66 .22LR.

The bolt parts on a Steven's 58E don't match up, the ejector Grove is in a different spot and the size of the breech bolt(balk half) is a lot smaller/shorter.

Have you removed the stock? Maybe some markings under there. Paying for the labor to rebuild the bolt( if parts not found) could easily exceed the guns value. Good luck, it looks like a neat old shooter.

I have one that looks just like that. Mine is a Springfield 37 Ranger. Yours might be one also.
