I know, I know, I got another question for the experts:
I have question about the length of the sabot for the bullet in my inline ML. I've just gotten into shooting cast bullets in my ML and was hoping I could shoot my .45 bullets in it. The question arises as to the length of the sabot compared to the bullet when the bullet is in the sabot.
The bullet on the left is typically what I've seen, the nose of the bullet poking out above the sabot. The center bullet is what I get when I put my .45 bullet in the sabot. The bullet on the right is a solution possibly to the problem, that is - if there is even a problem with the bullet sitting below the mouth of the sabot.
Is it okay to shoot the bullet in the center or should I trim the sabot back like I did with the bullet on the right. Thanks.
