Which 358-429?

Which version, Accurate ,Noe . I have the Arsenal version, but I hadn’t much luck with accuracy.
With Lyman having quality issues. I like to try the other mold company’s

Weights based on 92-6-2 alloy, would be 173 and 185 respectively from 50-50 COWW and lead with 2% tin. Larry Gibson fired pressure tests on both of these for me in heavy .38 Special approximating the old .38-44 Heavy Duty for use in .357 guns. Fixed sights on 1939 Colt New Service are on at 100 yards with load pictured. The lighter bullet provides good 50-yard zero with most fixed-sight service guns.

That Arsenal version is as good as they get. I have the NOE version, which is practically identical. Using COWW or other reasonably hard alloy, I find 10 grains of bluedot to be the best in a 357 magnum in multiple guns.1.645" OAL. I've never had that load shoot bad. I've never tried them in a rifle.

Well I’ve tried several loads in different guns, without any luck.The Arsenal version appears to be a very bold version. It’s been my experience that Keith type designs can be very finicky.Almost like it can be too much of a good thing.

The NOE version I use is nearly identical to the Arsenal version. I haven't found it finicky at all, that's actually why I like Keith designs. That depends on your accuracy expectations. I am quite happy with a 4" average group at 50 yards most of the time. It usually takes some real work to bring that down to 3". That's me shooting revolvers with open sights. Rifles, or precision handguns or just needing top level accuracy can be another matter.

I have the old (1970) Lyman design with the round lube grove in a 4 cav. With max loads of 296 and WW/lino or HTWW bullets it is always sub 3"@50 yds from my Ruger GP. The same load out of a Win94 .357 was 3-4"@100yds.. It was my 1st mold purchase and I still have it. For me 296/H110 would always beat 2400 for accuracy, not by a lot but always better.

Miha might still have an 8 cavity mould for what you want. You can run a pile of boolits really quickly
