The old faithful Rem 600 in 35 rem.shooting the Lee 200 fn Did the job again load was 37.5 gr of imr 4895 bullet was 50/50 air cooled broke ribs on entry and exit at 75 yds .did the typical 50 yd I don't know I'm dead yet run stumbled and fell over .

Nice trophy. Glad you got to be back in the hunt this year. Love the Rem 600. Mine is in .308. Always brings home the game, if I do my part right.

Congratulations on that nice buck. Your laminated stock makes the rifle look like a 660 magnum.

Thanks , it actually is from a 660 mag dad sent the rifle back to the factory long ago for trigger work and it arrived back home with the original stock cracked at the wrist the Rem custom shop only had a few of the lam stocks so that's what it got replaced with . Not original but it's a one of a kind now

Great job. Good to see the old Remington has still got what it takes and with a cast boolit using a great old powder. I like the stock switch and really like the 35 Remington cartridge. Most of my deer are 1 shot kills with a behind the shoulder shot so as not to damage the front shoulder. My deer also don't know they are done and usually they are capable of a 30-40 yard dash before going lights out.

Good morning and Congratulations !
That buck will fill a bunch of happy eaters. A little patience paid off well. 200 grains of 50/50 is a good load for the old 35.

Great job. Looks like it fell on an old deer carcass.

Good eye for detail ! Yes it was sorta ironic my brother killed a deer in bow season . When he was done butchering he threw the carcas and hide down over the hill about 200 yards from his house . Where this one fell it landed right beside that carcas

Nice shot placement.
Thanks if I woulda hit the shoulder I wouldn't had do drag it up the hill as far ,But years of teaching and habit are hard to break , seen it was legal crosshairs automatically go right to that same spot behind the leg . Oh well no meat loss and the chubby guy got some excersize .

Nice! Any ideas how fast that boolit is moving?

Nope , but a good guess would be around factory speeds (2000 fps) maybe a tick less since it's only an 18" barrel I've never owned a chronograph
