I have a Taurus barrel that slugs out at .355, and a Ruger barrel that slugs out at 356. Do you think a 357 sizer would work on both? Would a .358 be too big? I'd like to load to shoot in both guns without having to keep them separate.
The boolit I am trying use drops at .3565 and I will be powder coating it.

I tried using it as dropped, tumble lubed with 45/45/10 in the Ruger and had a mess. I haven't tried it in the Taurus.

I would try .358 and see it it chambers in the Taurus and the Ruger. I have had my best luck with .358.

Your PC should "size them up". Try no sizing if they are consistantly .3565". I would try .357" if you are going to size. Watch-out for the case sizing them down.

I don't powder coat so have no info on that .
I do size my 9mm Luger boolits .357 and they work in ammo for 4 different 9mm pistols.
I haven't tried .358 in 9mm Luger ... but others on the site have made them work .
.357 was as large as two of my compact 9mm Luger chambers would accept .

My best groups are with .358. .357 was good, but .358 better.
Most accurate is the LEE 125 RF. I really should try this at .357
The LEE 125. gr. RN does it's best at .358 where it just kisses the size die.

I also PC and size .358
Haven't run into a 9 that doesn't shoot them well.

Prior to PC I sized to .358, when I started to PC .357 worked better for me. I have only been shooting from XDm pistols.

It all depends on the gun.

my Ruger likes .356 to the Walther p38 that needs .360. and several in between

A lot of 9s won't take a .358" unless it is seated deep, which is a poor workaround for the lack of freebore in the barrel throat. Having a barrel throated so it will let you use .358" seated out as long as you want is the ticket to go with. One time fix, enjoy forever.

I guess having a salt harded barrel throated is a still a no go?

Salt hardened I can do with carbide reamer which I have. Case hardened is a no go even with carbide.
