How many here use some sort of illumination on their Dillon or other progressive presses to be able to easily see powder charges in the cases? Would like to have more light available but don't want to clutter up the bench. Been looking at the LED's that shine down from the top through the hole in the enter of the die head. Thanks.

I use this light from inline fabrication for my 550. I chose the battery powered one since I don't have an outlet near my bench. Very pleased with it.

I use cheap goose neck/magnetic sewing machine lights, here's some along with some stick-on strip LEDs:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=sewing+machine+light&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
https://www.amazon.com/Flymmy-Lighting-Workbench-Flexible-Gooseneck/dp/B088YTZ7GZ/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=sewing+machine+light&qid=1606016216&sr=8-16

Here's one mag'ed onto an taped shut empty powder jug with some bullets in it for stability.
Easy to move around anywhere on the bench as a task light.
Could be mag'ed directly to any iron press too.

Goldstar and Mr.Wolf I think I will go that route on my 550. Keystone, I have an early 450 Dillon also that does not have the interchangeable tool head so you idea should work for it also. Thanks guys.

I put the kmssquared???? On my 550, wish I had done it years ago, made it bright up under there, no problem seeing powder levels, etc. anything in the process to help guarantee safe ammo, I’m in! Just my .02

Bought a new 750 a few months ago and added the KMF UFO light. My other presses have lights from Inline Fab.

This was discussed a little bit ago. Check Amazon, which is where I got mine.

I got the Skylight and side light from In Line Fab. Perfect fit for my Hornady LnL. Nothing in the way at all.

I use this one:
KMS Squared UFO 550
https://www.amazon.com/KMS-Squared-Reloading-Press-Light/dp/B06Y65MQ7N/?tag=taohr-20

I got it primarily because it mounts on the press rather than the tool head. Puts out a lot of light. I know because I forgot and left it on after an evening loading session and before I went to bed I looked out at the shop and could see light in the windows.

I have the KMS squared lights on my 650’s, 550’s and a coax. I already had 8 overhead lights in my small reloading room, so it’s pretty well lit and they still make a big difference.

I use a USB laptop keyboard lamp plugged into a wall to USB power supply. The hole in the tool head I stuffed with a quick set epoxy (after it set then trimmed to the hole size) with the LED lamp pushed in the middle.

Like Kenstone I use sewing machine lights. (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZNR9JCT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have an Inline Fab mount. The magnetic lights attach to the mount and work with all my presses. I have a 550, a Lyman turret and a Rockchucker I interchange on the mount. These light work great on all 3 presses. I bought a second set I have one on my mill and one on my drill press. Us old guys need light!

I also have a Dillon 450, and I put a KMS Squared UFO 550 Reloading Press Light for Dillon 450 or 550 on it.

Around 12 dollars from target, amazon, the bay, etc...
LED, bright, can move it from press to press, or adjust it to get a good look at something in the hands while loading.
Feel free to spend more if you like.

I used a 3/4" diameter white automotive clearance light plugged into die hole on my 5 die press.
