:-D Start with an inexpensive roast or 80/20 Angus ground beef.I use an electric nonstick
skillet. If using a roast, slice it as thin as possible. With ground beef, break it up.I use some spray cooking oil in the skillet.Put the meat in the skillet to start browning, add whatever seasonings you desire.I just use a bit of salt, pepper and some garlic powder.I cheat on the gravy.I use the packets(2).Med onion(Rough chop).8oz net weight mushrooms stems and pieces(2cans).Liquid and all. Then start the egg noodles(1/2lb).When 90% done, add 1/2 lb noodles.Mix well with other ingrediants.Simmer till done.About 200 degrees F.For me alone, that makes about 6 meals.Serve with your favorite biskits.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

Mother canned a lot of deer, and we ate a lot of noodles with it she usually used wide store bought egg noodles, but she did make homemade noodles from time to time, and I always favored them.

A guy I worked with visited me one day, and saw my 21 quart canner,,
He went nuts, and said the 21 quarts was the perfect size to can an entire deer,, I guess some of it you do not waste by canning?

Anyways, the next day, he ordered the All American canner the next day,,
I always thought I was the only one crazy enough to pay that much for a canner,, it stacks quarts three high, 7 to a level!!

I would get a bone in roast. get up in the morning put it in the slow cooker and cover in water add some onion and salt pepper cook on low all day till falling apart, for this a little more marbling is a plus. Shred and remove the bone from pot. make gravy and cook noodles add and simmer for a short time. Saved enough roast and gravy out for a beef pot pie the next day and a couple BBQ beef sandwiches. One days cooking made 3 to 4 meals.

Sounds good.
I do a similar thing without the noodles, but serve it over Uncle Ben's converted rice.

fry some venison onions and mushrooms. throw in a can of cream of mushroom soup and some sour cream and you have stroganoff. Have the meat and onions canned and its just cook up some noodles and dump your jar into a pan add the mushrooms and sour cream and you have a 15 minute meal fit for a king.
