I didn't want to hi-jack the other thread on 9mm reloading, but have some questions. I just got a Glock 19 for my younger son for Christmas. Since he is a rather impecunious college professor I thought that I would reload his ammo with cast boolets. I have never reloaded 9mm. I have read that cast is a "no-no" in Glocks. I have also read that it is OK. At this time I'm not ready to buy an aftermarket barrel for this gun so what are my options other than, cast is OK or full length gas checks?
I don't know if it makes any difference but this gun is a 1st gen Glock (no finger grooves or rail). I prefer the 1st generation Glocks from an appearance standpoint.
