Lee 476-400 first casting

I will have to say I am impressed with it. I didn’t smoke it or anything other than a good wash in Dawn and heat it up on the pot. I did cast fairly hot but it only took a couple pours and I was getting good boolits. I might have gotten lucky, as I read a lot of negative about Lee molds, but they dropped right at .477 and are good looking boolits. 271349271350

my lee 340g 45-70 mold was the same ,washed it filled it let it warm for a couple of minutes then cast great boolits that fell out of mold .

two days ago I cleaned my 501-440 with dawn, heated it as the pot warmed, dipped the edge in the melt for twenty econds and the third pour was perfect and off I went. For $21.95 at the LGS how can that be wrong? Great products
