Greetings all,
Growing up I remember hearing that the "Cleaner" in Williams Cleaner Bullet meant that is scraped fouling along with it while it went down the barrel- a noun. Recently I learned that this was not what the inventor meant by "Cleaner". For him the bullet was cleaner-shooting in that the zinc flanges would expand the base faster sealing it and thus leaving more of the barrel without fouling- an adjective.
I am tempted to rig up some modern versions (I'm thinking cuttings from pop cans) so test the effects against one another. But before I do, has anyone tried their hand at this before?
Cheers,
flop
