I only started casting a few months ago and started out with the Lee pro pot. Got a thermometer to keep the temp regulated but it just fluxuated too much. So I broke down and got a Mag 20. Wow the time I have wasted with that Lee. I know it only has the 1-10 on the dial and not the temp like the RCBS but using the thermometer, I found 700 which ended up being 8.5 on the dial and it stayed there. Dumping spruce and bad bullets into the Lee would kill the temp by 100 degrees and take 15 minutes to recover. The Mag drops by 30 and takes about 2 minutes to recover. It was well worth the money.

I got a lyman Mag 20 furnace. It is the dipper model without the bottom pour feature . It works great for me. I'm pretty happy with it.

When my ancient Lyman pot quit for good I bought a Lee pro pot and fought with it for 2 years. I bought a Lyman Mag 20 and have been a happy caster ever since.

I'm another satisfied Lyman Mag 20 owner. Have the bottom pour model but the top is roomy enough to also do ladle casting. I cast at a setting of 9.5 which is close to 750-775 degrees F. I especially like the warming shelf and the mould guide features.
