Howdy!

(Please move if this is in the wrong section.)

Picked up a lot of reloading stuff yesterday. In the bottom of a tub was a box that had three single banger molds - Lyman #225415, a B&M - Iron #322163 and this one that isn't marked:

271113
271114
271115
271116
271117
271118

Any ideas?

I’m just blue-skying here.

The handles look like B&M handles to me.

If Hoch ever made a base-pour boolit mould, I figure it would look like that, but usually it would have identification on the spue plate, at least. The style, otherwise, is remarkably close. Maybe the owner found, by coincidence, that a spare set of handles he had would fit a custom mould he’d had made, or made himself. I pair up oddball moulds I find with my stash of miscellaneous loose handles till I wind up with something that works.

There’s a guy named jlouis on the ASSRA Forum who makes moulds, and knows a lot of the major and minor custom makers, past and present. You might run the pic past him.

That’s all I got.

Thanks!

I'll pour some lead in it and figure out what boolits it makes.

The little diamond on the right handle indicates it's a B&M. Some early handles were marked B&M, most were not. The three I have in the collection all have a different sprue plate and the blocks are marked on the front edge with B&M and Iron or Nickel. There is a bullet number and caliber on the other block. The Squibb I have does not have a mould number, just 30 SQUIBB and NICKEL.
