Happy 245th Birthday to the USMC!

Happy Birthday USMC! My old friend, who was like a second Dad to me, served in the Marines in the Pacific during WWII. He would always call me up a couple of days before November 10th to remind me that the Marine Corps was having a birthday coming up and I would pick him up and take him out to lunch to help him celebrate it. He's gone now and I miss him greatly. In his honor . . . "See,per Fi!".

My Pops was a WWII version , passed 2 years back - he would've been at Hardee's reminding the local Liars Club of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children's birthday ! Happy Birthday to the Corps and Semper Fi to all you Marines.

Thanks guys, it was an honor and a privilege to serve. The day my Senior Drill Instructor handed me my Eagle Globe and Anchor device, ranks right up there with my marrying the prettiest girl in Texas, the birth of our children, and receiving my college diploma!
