Well...yeah...they've never gone away! I was just thinking about a couple-a-few today that I'm fond of. I'll show you a couple of them:

I was shooting my 1956 4" K-38 yesterday. The Lee 105 swc powder coated and sized to .357 for the cylinder throats over 4 gr. Bullseye go into one hole. Really fun little gun. Been looking for a 6 or 8" one.

here's an old coppers gun dating from 1950-1951. It shoots straight with standard velocity 38 Special 158 RN cartridges or with the 358-311 over 3.5 Bullseye or 4.0 grains of WW-231

There is a reason the loads you mention are considered classics. They work well in just about any revolver chambered for the 38 Special.
I work hard and spend a lot of time to get my pistol shooting consistent and accurate(by my standards), but I love shooting my revolvers.

I've been shooting my wheel guns quite a bit lately myself. I think I'm going to try my hand at deer hunting this year during the alternate method season.

I've been buying a bunch more this year and shooting them a lot. DA and SA, anything from a snubbie to longer barrels. If I won the lottery I'd have one of everything.

They're still my first choice, SA or DA.

I was just eyeing my Combat Magnum and thinking about showing its been since I shot it as I have been shooting 38sp and 45LC. Guess the neighbors will hear some boom tomorrow when I get off work

I've a six inch Model 14, I guess the 6" is my favorite .38Spl bbl length, if I'm not shooting it, then it's my Colt OP or M10 w/6" bbl's.

This one is for No Trespassing sign tacks,,

It is also handy for enforcing the No Trespassing signs,, when necessary,, 8-)
