I shot my last two Hornady Great Plains .54 HBHP bullets today out of my T/C Renegade and both were dead on at 50 yards!

Unfortunately these are now obsolete and I am considering getting a mold to cast something similar.

My question is to anyone doing this what mold are you using and what are your results?

I am NOT new to casting but have not done it in a long time so I understand the basics and just wondering if anyone is casting something similar and would like some input.

The Hornady bullets were 425 grain and I would like to keep it close to that since my Renegade is/was a tackdriver with those bullets!

These were my final two shots on a can at 50 yards and I have no complaints!

Thanks!

I'd look at a Lyman plains bullet in 54. Solid rather than hollow base, but otherwise pretty similar.

Found this don't know if they have them but may get you by till you find a mould. Or send one to Accurate and see if they have or can make a mould.

Midway still has them:
Yes, but only in .50 caliber.

Hornady has stopped making them in .54 and .58 - which is what I use - ur used to anyway!
