I posted this in the Outdoorsman section but I doubt many have seen it. Was archery deer hunting when a flock of Tom's came by. They busted me and circled around and busted me again. Then one dumb one came back and I got him. Turkeys are better at spotting you in a tree than deer but this one wasn't 270982

Nice gobbler. I have had turkeys bust me at 100 yards up a tree in full cammo when I adjusted my glasses. Those same critters will come within 12 yards of a ground blind. They are odd but tasty.

I am no turkey expert but it sure looks like a dandy to me.
I will have to remember the ground blind for Ben's bird.

Congrats. They are a tricky animal, but their curiosity often is what gets them. Even in the spring breeding season, I'm fairly sure only about half I've killed were looking for a hen or a fight. The other half wanted to see what the lump on the ground was.
