Using Lee's 300 gr gas checked bullet cast hard using 2400, AA#9, or 296.
TIA, Dennis

Are you using PC or traditional lube?

If PC...you might want to try 18.0gr of AA#9. I use that load for my 300gr Hornady JHP-XTPs. It throws them about 1250fps....but I suggest you work up to it...my revolver is a very strong older Redhawk.

If you are using traditional lube...someone else will have to chime in.

Traditional lube
Mainly in a SS Super Blackhawk or possibly in a S&W 29
Thanks, Dennis

for me h110/296 seems to give more speed with less pressure than 2400, never had #9. hodgdon shows 22gr h110 max for 325gr LFN at 1.730". also shows 300xtp at only 19gr because its 1.6"

first question is what are you shooting it in. BIG difference in the loads i use in a redhawk or FA 44mag compared to a blackhawk. Or a blackhawk compared to a N frame smith. But if you have to ask id recommend you get a loading manual and use the 300 grain data for jacketed with the same powder you want to use for your cast bullets. It should be more then safe.

I texted you a picture of the data from the Lyman CBHB 4th.
