Hi guys, and Gals.
I just made 150+ Lyman 356637 Dev. WHITETAIL.
What I did to the mold was lap it out to .360 dia.
and made the bevel to a gas check.
With doing that I increased the weight to 135 grs.
So I plan on shooting it out of my 38 colt.
Anny Ideas on the powder / load I should use?:coffee:

I did some research and found a j word 140 jhp
in a 38 special.
They list BULLSEYE - BLUE DOT - GREEN DOT - and UNIQUE.
I have all of them and not sure witch one to use.:Fire:

As long as you get the velocity and accuracy you need what difference does the powder make? Velocity and accuracy are up to you and your revolver, and much less the powder.

It’s a viable hunting cartridge in 357/38. It’s an excellent design.

Are you looking for loads in 38 Colt with your 135 gr. cast boolit ?
Details matter ... just double checking .

Okay , I see you are looking for 38 Colt Data , (the 38 special threw me )
with your 135 grain cast boolit :

start - 2.0 grains Bullseye @ 540 fps
max. - 2.7 grains Bullseye @ 750 fps

Start low and work up slowly .
My pet load is 2.5 grains Bullseye w/ 140 Gr. cast WC
