I've got a pre-1979 Marlin 1894 in need of an extractor. I've already tried Wisner's and got the reply that they no longer stock either the original "hairpin" style or their own "improved" version and have no no plans to manufacture any more in the future. Also tried Brownell's and Gunparts (Numrich) but no luck there, either.

Anyone here know of any other source for parts for the older Marlins? Or, failing that, how 'bout a gunsmith who might be able to do the machine work to convert the bolt/receiver to use one of the late model extractors?

GB has them time to time. did not need extractor, but wanted some spare ejectors for my 77 1894, and I got a few there, and price was really good.

I needed one for my 1916 vintage 94 rifle, found it on Ebay.
