I'm wondering if you mean the RCBS 230 Cowboy bullet with the blunt, flat front end?

If your bullets aren't very hard, harden them. Heavy, soft bullets don't shoot for spit in my Auto Rim revolvers.

Coat if it is a paper puncher you're after, take a look at the SAECO # 453. It is a full wad cutter, has a nice crimp groove and weighs about 220. I also like the SAECO # 945 with a gas check. I shoot both in a 45 Auto Rim and get a nice roll crimp using the Redding Profile Crimp die specifically made for 45 Auto Rim. I'll check my picture files and edit a picture in.

azrednek,

If you push the velocity on the Saeco 453 a bit, it becomes a great small game bullet. At least mine did.

Straw Hat, I've heated up the 453 but haven't used it on any game yet. Do you recall the load you used??

I have trouble remembering breakfast!

Off the top of my head, no, but I will find it and get it to you. Even with my target load it is a good bullet for small game. Coons and such. Probably would anchor bigger stuff if you put it where it belongs but so would anything.
