Several of these have come up on Ebay recently. I wanted to ask if anyone here had experience with one in a Marlin M 1895 and whether it is capable of casting a boolit large enough for the micro-groove rifling groove diameter. I have a 457284 and it casts too small for the .460" groove diameter of my .45-70 Marlin. Anybody use this boolit in their M 1895 ?

My Marlin is in 41 Mag, but I do have an H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic Carbine in 45 Colt. I have the Lee 452-255 RF which I powder coat. I was gifted 452-300 RF because a buddy accidentally ordered 2. That carbine really likes the 454 RB with mouse fart loads of Bullseye, around 900 FPS from the 20" barrel.

I also have the Lee 457-405 for 45-70, which casts fat, more like 459. I PC so it ended up fatter still. A buddy has a Handi Rifle that likes them fat anyway

Have a Ruger #1 in .459 and my mold in that number barely makes .4585" so doesn't shoot very well. Frank
