A friend of mine has Raynaud's syndrome. With only slightly cool temps (50's) her fingers turn white from lack of blood just from shooting a shotgun. Then she loses the feelings in them. She wants to shoot skeet with me but it ain't gitten any warmer up here. Anyone have any experience with battery heated gloves that would be suitable for shooting a shotgun?

Nope--no experience. Didn't even know that they made 'em. But, since they do make battery heated socks you should be able to find some.

No on battery operated gloves, either too hot or batteries run out and
often the hand nerves do not detect an over heat condition.

Yes on Hot Hands chemical warmers placed in the glove on the back of the hands.

Try these and see how they work, and they are economical

I borrowed a pair of battery powered heated gloves from a buddy last winter to try for winter motorcycle riding. Riding saves so much gas each month I try to ride 10 or 11 months out of the year. They were lithium batteries and lasted a long time on a charge. They are a little expensive. Try Cycle Gear online or Amazon. Im asking SWMBO for some for Christmas.

I bought I set of battery heated gloves for my wife last winter, she loves them. Here are a couple you might look at, the first one is just a set of glove liners so they are very thin: https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Rechargeable-Battery-Arthritis-Motorcycling/dp/B07TQ5WJJR/ref=sr_1_54?dchild=1&keywords=battery+gloves&qid=1602490327&sr=8-54 Next set is leather so still on the thin side: https://www.amazon.com/PITI-Battery-Rechargeable-Electric-Waterproof/dp/B07J5N6P56/ref=sr_1_111?dchild=1&keywords=battery+gloves&qid=1602490379&sr=8-111 There are a number of pages filled with them as well: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=battery+gloves&qid=1602490431&ref=sr_pg_1

Hope that helps,

Heated or not, most are rather bulky and for shotgunning she will likely either need to wear a tether around her neck and pull them off and let them dangle to shoot or cut a finger hole on the trigger finger to allow her to feel the trigger. Back in the day when I spent a lot of time in the snowy woods I made my own shooter's glove with a hole in the trigger finger so I could slip the finger out for a shot.

I've been using rechargeable hand warmers bought off Amazon. The amount of heat is adjustable, three different settings. I like them better than the hot hands chemical packs, I use to use.

Heated gloves are wonderful. Used them on motorcycles for years. Variable heat. Batteries are Lithium and last at least 2 hr. Batteries are easily changed so you can carry a spare set or two.

I used Gerbing, but, they don't make the light ones I liked anymore. This store has a wide selection to choose from. What you would look for are the lightweight types and cloth type material instead of leather. Waterproof types are usually heavier duty as well. 7V is typical for battery powered. 12V can also be battery powered but are meant to be plugged into a motorcycle as well.

Before the days of battery gear I used to use hot hands as well. Just not even close. Palms stay warm, fingers get cold.

Thank everyone for the replies. I'll have plenty of things to check out and maybe they'll be a Christmas present. (An early one)
