this will be ammo for a friend with him taking the dies and mold home for himself for a 92 Winchester. The mold is an old Winchester made mold (probably made by ideal) that casts about a .260 diameter 85 grain FP with many lube grooves. His backyard range goes out to 100 yards. I have several powders so something that shoots flat enough to 100 yards and doesn't lead. What loads work for you guys? thanks

Leading has more to do with bullet/bore size than most other factors so assuming that the bullet fits the bore well, then I’ve had good luck with 4.5 grains of Unique under a 90-grain boolit. This gives about 1350 fps out of my M1894 with good accuracy at 100 yards.

Thank you, that will be a good place to start.

Go to the MarlinOwners forum under reloading then to the sticky on 25-20 reloading. Enough there to keep you busy the rest of your reloading life. LOL
Good stuff

Thump a squirrel with a .22 LR velocity .25 bullet and it will relegate the rimfire to the safe for that purpose.

Thanks guys. Hope to get my friend addicted to reloading this old caliber for his sweet Win. 92 rifle. I have been shooting woodchucks in my rural subdivision with 22 magnum and lead bullet .223. This would be even a better cartridge for them.
