My google fu must be as badas my memory.
The other day (this week) I saw a listing to make BP lube with the above ingredients.
Thought I would remember the ratio and for sure the thread it was in . . .

CRS has me and I can not remember the ratio, nor can I find the thread with it.

Any suggestions?

I don't believe the ratio is critical to its performance. The wax is too hard to use as is, the oil is mostly a softener. Just mix them to the consistency you want and use it.

As I see it, the main function of bullet lube is to decrease friction. It also Helps keep fouling soft when shooting BP. It keeps the lead from actually touching the barrel steel. The bullet is riding on a film of oil. Bee’s wax resists heat very well, but needs to be softened some to be practical to use. Coconut oil resists heat well too. In what I have experienced, it seems to be very similar to Crisco that a lot of people use. A recipe for bee’s wax and Crisco should get you close to what you want. Why coconut oil? Isn’t Crisco a lot cheaper?
