Today I looked at the sorry state of my Beretta 96D grip screws an got online to order some... Well at $3 each I started thinking about powder coating the sorry looking ones instead.

After heating up the oven, I held the threads with a long tweezer and just pressed the head into a small cup, cleaned the screwdriver slot with a razor blade, and baked them along with a sorry looking aluminum mag base pad. While they're a bit tacky (I do carry concealed after all) it's cheaper than paying for nickel :-)

I've powder coated whole guns, way better finish than ceracoat or alumiahyde or any of them, much tougher. I used a electrostatic spay gun, just be mindfull of tolerances powder can build up quickly in tight corners.

I went with the ordering new screws from Bretta . With S&h the two screws where like 7$ each
