Boolit for 1894

A friend has asked me for some boolits to test on his Win 1894, 30-30. He wants to experiment with reduced loads of unique.
I can offer you two molds that I have, one is from lee 312-185 and the other is from lyman 311466.
I know that the ideal would be one with a flat nose, but I don't have one and he will charge 1 shot at a time.
Does anyone have any experience with these boolits on the 30-30?

I've shot the Lee 312-185 from a couple of 30-30's, one an H&R single shot, the other a Marlin 30AW.

It has been several years so I am not sure of the powder charge, but I sized to 0.311" for both rifles. I did single load the Marlin, I didn't bother with bumping or filing a flat meplat on the boolit. I figured if I got serious about using it for deer hunting then I would try that.
