Anybody down here want to work a deal on smelting some lead? I have 500 or so pounds of various lead (pure, wheel weights sorted and unsorted, pewter, solder) and would like to work a trade.

You smelt my hoard, or part of it, and keep some, bring me ingots. I'm thinking 50/50.

We can fudge the numbers if you want some pewter/solder instead, I have a good bit of both.


Open to discussing.

Better batten the hatches! Storm Delta is heading your way possibly this weekend!

Cat 3 or 4.............they don't know yet.

hard to melt lead with 10 inches of rain coming down.

I'm just gonna put the lead on the roof, the house wont go anywhere with a 1,000 pounds of lead on it :)

If we were closer I would gladly help you. Maybe I'm just different but I rather enjoy the smelting process. Maybe because I have obtained the tools and developed a system that works well.

I have done it in the past, and have all the equipment, it's just scattered all over right now, and I just dont have half a day to set aside to smelt.

I have more lead than I have time.
