Camera problem. I have an Sony Cybershot. I used it in Glacier this past week, worked fine. I wanted to use it today, turned it on, and the display screen is black. Lens cover off, fully charged battery.

Is this the equivalent of the blue screen of death on a computer?

You might try and remove the battery and let it sit for awhile. Then install batteries and reboot. Sometimes that will work.

No magnets, it sits on my fly tying bench. I'll try the battery trick.

If that doesn't work you might try the factory reset.

A clean pencil eraser to the battery contacts on the camera and battery will usually cure a no power issue.

I have power, can go through the menu, just no image view.

Some digital cameras have a 'second' battery that is 'hidden' away to power the 'motherboard'. It is usually a small 'watch' type. Sounds like it may be worth a 'google' search.
