Not sure this is the right place to post this question.
Got a CVA hunter stalker in .444 marlin to shoot cast bullets. Have four different molds. The rifle's receiver does have a baked on finish of some type.
Problem, after firing rife the firing pin remains extend out of the frame. With the firing pin extended, not able to close the action with a round in the barrel. By pulling the hammer back small amount the firing pin will go back into receiver and allow the action to close.
Can’t find a forum site devoted to CVA center fire rifles. Is there one? Think the trigger may have been reinstalled wrong after the bake on finish was completed. Any suggestions?
