Does someone make a reasonably priced mould for a 30-30 that does not cast gas check bullets?

Arsenal molds can do it for a reasonable price. $78 for a 4 cav pb boolit. Bout the best you can do.

Saeco does a 140 grain cowboy mould, though I've not tried it-sure would like to.

Saeco is pricey as well. How about this one: https://www.adorama.com/rcbs82302.html?

Thanks for the offer, toallmy. However (this may sound crazy), I don't own a 30-30 to try them in. I'm just looking for a relatively inexpensive mould to have around in case I can help someone who does.

P.S. - Is this your mould https://noebulletmolds.com/site/shop/308-311/sc311-171-rf-i3/sc311-171-rf-i3-2-cavity-pb-rd?

Both my Handi rifle .30-30 and Win 94 lever gun love the Lee .314 90 gr tumble lube design with a truncated cone nose.

I do size them down to about .312 before loading.

They shoot very well over light charges of Red Dot, 4-6 grains. Quiet, low recoil, just right for popping a rabbit, squirrel or crow.

For deer sized critters I don't mind the cost of a gas check. And mostly load the 185 gr.

Lyman 311410. Its a plain based bullet that runs around 135 grains. Slightly rounded nose. I PC them.

No I use a NOE SC-165-RF plan base for my plan base shooting . But most of the molds on the NOE website come either way plain base or gas check .

The 30-30 is the perfect cast boolit cal. because you can shoot it at the same speed and trajectory as Factory J-word bullets, kinda like the 45/70 , 38-55, etc. To do that in the 30-30 you need a gc bullet with the gc installed.

Nope, not going there, MT_Chambers. Got my mould coming, thanks guys.
