I was looking to cast some .356 bullets for 9mm but found a scarcity of molds.
In looking through ammoseek.com prices for regular bullets were still running very high. I then poked around at the usual suspects and found a scarcity there as well.
A while back I picked up some bullets from a site that I'd never used before, scheels.com (no association). At the time, all they had was 250 round boxes of 9mm with a 2 box limit. Today I checked and they have 115 and 124 grain Berrys plated bullets for less than 9 cents apiece. I picked up 1,000 in 115gr and 1,000 in 124gr. Free shipping but there is tax.

I am not sure what the CB policy is about notifying forum members when common components are in stock at online vendors but wanted to put it out here because that's not a bad price in today's climate. I have a ton of 9mm brass, plenty of powder and primers so I can make 9mm until the cows come home.

Grmps started this thread some time ago, as a catch-all for this type of thing.

Also, adding my 2¢...if you to want to start a new thread, as you did, it would seem prudent to have a more descriptive title.

If your going to cast for 9mm you will probly want .358 or at least .357 diameter

Not sure what is frowned on as it is a casting site.

Many folks here buy and load plated bullets. It’s nice of you to let folks know you found some.
For the many that buy plated only there are twice as many here that cast. A Few of us only shoot some calibers seldom and prefer to just buy some to load enough for rainy day.
Our hobby time often gets taken up by necessities so casting gets put on a back burner.
My grandchildren are getting to an age now where learning to shoot will start soon. Then casting time WILL become a necessity ! I prefer to teach them how to cast and load their own Ammo.
You never know when store bought shells will be priced out of reach for some and shooting will become a thing of the past with some family’s.
