I recently acquired one of my holy grail guns, a JM stamped 1895 Cowboy. But I still want a 45-70 Rolling Block and a Sharps 45-70.

Something from Camp Perry or Ala., a pistol caliber carbine, and a ghost gun.

I let my step daughter talk me out of my old Heritage Rough Rider in .22lr/.22mag. Now it was no great shakes of a pistol in .22lr. But 20 years after buying it I discovered that it was a tack driver in .22mag.

And I'm missing it. Problem is I want adjustable sights for it. And Heritage appears to have discontinued their 2 models they made in .22mag with adjustable sights.

I could go to Ruger NM single six. But I could buy 3 or 4 of the Heritage for the price of a Ruger.

I also would not mind finding a Rolling Block in .22mag or .32sw long that will shoot close to MOA or minute of a squirrels ear.

Only one for me that stays consistent is the Mateba Autorevolver in 357 (preferably) or 44. Always been intrigued by the unique design and would love to have one in the safe.

An original Winchester 52 sporter would also be up there in desire to put next to the reproduction sporter and my target Pre-A and D models.

I want a 480 Ruger in a lever action. I have e-mailed Henry several times and they don't seem interested. Rossi has made a few but they are not in production in that caliber anymore. Maybe Ruger will be interested after they get Marlin up and running.

There's a YouTuber with the handle .22 Plinkster who took a Ruger Charger and gave it the following mods: folding brace; Volquartzen 6" carbon fiber barrel and their competition bolt; reddot sight and last but not least a Franklin Armory binary trigger. This has captured my imagination.

A 12 gauge side by side coach gun with rabbit ears, maybe a 9mm carbine but that is not at the top of the list, and possibly a lever action 44-40.

Something that has never, as far as I can tell, ever made it to the Arkansas; a S&W 624 4".

I have repeated said, I'll never buy another 44 mag.
BUT, if I were to find one of the new Henry's with fast twist rifled barrel, I'd probably fork over the Benjamins.

NONE... NONE AT ALL....
That is my wife speaking. I mentioned the possibility of picking up another 40S&W due to the large amount of loads that I have for them and I was told... "NO MORE GUNS"....
I asked, "Even for Elia?" Elia is our 5 year old granddaughter. I was informed that Elia does not need a handgun and NO I cannot keep it for her until she gets old enough...

But... I'd love a Judge 45LC/.410
And an SCCY 9mm
And a Baby Desert Eagle in 40S&W.

I'd really like to get back some of the ones I've sold and traded off, first.

The Stoeger Coach gun in 12ga I never shot, the Beretta Neos 6" .22 for plinking, and absolutely the Ruger M77 in 7.62x39 with the boat paddle stock.. my first JC Higgins model 20, the Mossberg that I thought could replace it.. this list could get long, without even looking forward.

I want a 480 Ruger in a lever action. I have e-mailed Henry several times and they don't seem interested. Rossi has made a few but they are not in production in that caliber anymore. Maybe Ruger will be interested after they get Marlin up and running.

I’ve though about breaking down and buying one from Big Horn Armory but they aren’t exactly giving them away.

I’ve also inquired Marlin and Henry

I’d really like one of Clements full on customs with CCH from Turnbull and deep gloss blue in 480 Ruger with real ivory grips shaped like Elmers #5 grip. Probably 5.5” octagonal barrel. The 480 Ruger for me is the epitome of the capable, packable, manageable big bore.

Single shot in 38-40 WCF to go with my Vaquero, an H&R 1871 in the Classic Carbine style like the 20" 45 Colt they did a decade or so ago. I already have the Vaquero for the 45 Handi, took a while to find the OM Vaquero after I scored the carbine. Now I need a 38-40, maybe a falling block like the one a member here, made in British Columbia. I guess I need a mill and lathe.

My list has gotten shorter as I've aged but there are still a few. Not in any particular order;

S&W M-27 pinned and recessed with a 3-1/2 inch barrel
Colt 70 series blue Gold Cup
Colt Stainless Gold Cup in 38 Super ( I've only ever seen one)
A custom 1911 from Nighthawk or Guncrafter
Remington 40X

I will buy any one of these whenever I see one at an affordable price except for the custom 1911. At my age I just don't see having a $4500 1911.

I would like to have the Savage .410 single shot my father gave me and the Winchester 190 .22 Rifle from my mother. Stolen. Long ago.

Not a fan of all the new "plastijunk" the manufacturers are pushing these days. I'm a blue steel and walnut kind of guy. I also own these types of firearms, but they just don't have the look and feel of the older firearms. One man's opinion.

A Colt Woodsman- 6" Second or Third Model, the light barrel version.
A Remington No. 2 Rolling Block in a small centerfire, possibly the Uberti repro in .357 or .22 Hornet.
A good tube fed .22 bolt action from the days of blue steel and black walnut.

That will do for starters,

Robert

Ok I'll play.
Top of the list.

Luger, 9mm, american eagle fat barrel. Passed on one two years ago and it still haunts me.

Winchester 1892. 2520 chambered in 357. To replace the three that were stolen many years ago.

Small list. Small goals.[emoji106]

Well since I'm kinda sorta a 32-20 lover maybe I'll send one of my 22rf martinis out to John Taylor and have him stick a faster than normal twist TJ's liner in it. Already have a center fire complete trigger group and have it drilled and tapped for a scope. that would satisfy my wants. Frank

Gun I'd like to buy someday is a S&W Performance Center 627. I don't own a revolver and I figure if I ended up getting another one, it might as well be a really cool one...

268745

Gun I will buy in the next year or so is a Ruger American Predator in .308 with the 18" barrel. Would like a handy little elk rifle for brush.

The gun I will get someday is my dad's Jack O'Connor tribute rifle built by Al Biesen in 1971 for $764. Pre-'64 Model 70 in .270 and used to take his first Grand Slam.

I have a picture of him and the rifle on my desk.

S&W 29/629 3" 44 Mag
S&W 29/629 4" 44 Mag I'd prefer the 3" but wouldn't turn down one in 4"
S&W 25 4" 45 Colt (I've got the MG but prefer the standard barrel)
Colt SS Commander in 45 ACP, 38 Super and Delta Elite 10MM
I'm sure there are many more than I can't think of but these would take care of me for awhile. :)

Would prefer a Henry Long Ranger in .358 but not an option they offer.
The Coonan 357 has been in my eyes for years as well.

But tbh ive already got guns that can fill their roles, so its just wants rather than needs.

I do need a 44 mag though, cause i got a set of lyman dies and a good bit of brass in a lot i purchased a few years ago.

Thompson sub machine gun in full auto. That would keep me busy reloading for sure.

Considering that I've recently got a Model 10 as the first firearm in my collection, in the future, it would be very interesting to get a Model 10 Victory, with the lanyard Loop and the smoother grips. Obviously it's going to be a lot more difficult to get one in that configuration, and there's no telling how much it would be beat up passed from force to force, but it would be a very interesting thing to add to my collection in the future.

Also I've got on my wish-list in the next 4 years or so to get some sort of AR platform in .556. I think the best part about that is I can achieve it one little piece at a time, and get what will suit my needs without having to compromise. That is, if nothing else happens to online gun sales if Sleepy Joe weasels his way to the top by some infernal means.

Funny how things that were never really on your radar can become highly interesting, all a sudden. I have always been a pump gun guy and little interest in autos. Guy showed up Saturday with a 11-48 skeet gun in 410, never knew I wanted one till I saw it! Sometimes things work out, he brought it to sell, I was able to help him out.
