I give thanks today for the lord not taking my SO away three years ago when she suffered a major stroke. I found her laying on her back in the living room moments after it started The emergency responders were in the house in under ten minutes after my 911 call and she was flown to the city for emergency surgery saving her life. After 4months 2 weeks in 3 separate hospitals she was released here speech is always improving but physically not so much. I thank the lord for the doctors nurses and specialist that all helped with her recovery you are all amazing and caring people and the good lord guided you to save the people you do god bless you all.

We've walked the same path, Cast outlaw. My wife had a severe brain hemorrhage 10 years ago. Her heart quit beating in the emergency room, she was revived, but showed no sign of life for over 24 hours. I was asked to return the next day and have a decision on whether or not to pull the plug. I didn't have to make the decision, though, because the ICU nurse saw her move her foot. She was helicoptered to a large medical center where she spent 30 days in ICU, and another 30 in Critical Care, then 60 days in a convalescent hospital. Her condition improved greatly in the first 6 months, but like the doctors say, improvement can come for up to a year, but not much after that. She speaks well, can walk with a walker and a little support like a hand on the back, but has extreme short term memory loss. She lost all memories for about 5 years before the event, and makes no new memories, but remembers things earlier in her life. Naturally, she remembers me because in December we'll go back 51 years together.

I will also pray for your lady's recovery, and hope that God grants her good health. I wanted you to know that you're not alone.

Amen Brother.

Almost lost my wife 10 days after back surgery. One of the screws was infected, she was septic. It was a close thing, if I had dithered for an hour I think I would have lost her.

After a LONG summer with her in rehab getting IV antibiotics daily she is back home and slowly healing, getting stronger.

Praise the Lord for he is good, he has showered us with blessings.
Thank you Lord!
