Obviously, this is the opinion of a hand loader/bullet caster! It should also be noted that.....the 460 XVR, is not the ideal Concealed Carry handgun.
While the bullet options and velocity ranges are near infinity for a handgun....these are my favorites!
#1 - 300 grain, cast SWC @ approximately 1000 fps. A good, low recoil, plinking, or small game load.
#2 - 400 grain, cast, WNFP pushed hard. Capable of taking any big game on the planet. Actually, quite pleasant to shoot from my 8 3/8” XVR with factory brake. The muzzle blast....is not pleasant! :wink:
#3 - shot shell, duplicating a 2 1/2” 410 shot shell, using a full-lenght, .444 Marlin Magnum brass. The patterns aren’t comparable to a 410 shot shell fired from a shotgun.....but it is a handgun!
