This mod process could be used on any caliber. It is finicky though. Be careful if you try this.

Hello All,

I went through a very similar situation when I started loading the .44 Colt Original.
Of course my project was a little bigger than the .22, but basics are the same.
I put together a pdf. for anyone wanting Ideas on crimping heel based bullets.

Very nicely done.
Now I have NO reason to pass up all the cool old stuff I see. ��
I have cobbled stuff together for a 310 cadet.
I used an FCD for a 7.62 Mauser.

BTW I went to the sled meet at Nisswa, MN once ~25 years ago, I was very impressed by the Trailmaker. (And a bunch of others)
— too many projects now.
