Have recently acquired a Sig in .40 S&W caliber and need to find a good boolit mould for it. What boolit weight do you guys recommend? I have cast & powder coated for multiple calibers for some time but am new to the .40 S&W. What boolit mould(s) do you could recommend? Big Boomer

I have been using the LEE 175 TC mold for a while Now. That 6cav make a pile a bullets quick and they are shooting really well in all my 40's!! Cost is right too!!

I first tried the TL version. But it was not nearly as accurate for me.
I also like the 145g but only a 2 cav is offered. Plus my PCC dosent
Like its short nose but the handguns gobble it right up!!

I also have a 180 Lyman RNFP thats just as good but again just a 2 cav.

I used both Lee molds in my Taurus101AF; the 145 grain worked out best for me.

My choice for both 40 SW and 10MM is the Lyman 401043 175 gr.

I would look into Accurate Molds. You can find exactly what design you want. They are not cheap, but when you open the box you will see why. Very high quality.

I have Mihec NOE and Arsenal molds , Mihec has hollow point molds around 155 grain with option of casting 160 grain solids , The NOE I have casts around 185 grain deep hollow point but it shows as out of stock , the Arsenal molds I have are 162 and 165 grain solids and feeds in my semi auto pistols Mihecs are dropping at .402 and Noe is at .403 and the Arsenal I had cut at .401 and I am powder coating all of them

I like to shoot the 40 and only reason I did not go with the Lee 175 is I needed longer nose with profile to fit and Lee did not have diagram showing lengths and diameter , But looking around I found one thread that showed its nose profile to be in the area of what I needed .

I'll agree that the Lee 175 TC six cavity is a very good mould to own. Gp

I have been using a 200 grain Flat Point in my two 40 S&W handguns which neither is Smith and Wesson brand. 930 FPS from a M27 Glock.

Another vote for the Lee 175TC. Probably my most accurate boolit in 40/10mm and feed 100%.
From the very first use, mine has dropped near perfect boolits.

I am a lurker but can contribute here. My sig 40's feed most anything. Other 40's not so much. The best feeding bullet I have found for the problem children is the lyman 401043. it is actually a rifle bullet designed for the 38-40. feeds great in anything. I have shot 1000's in sigs with never a problem.

I've been shooting the NOE HTC 402-188 WFN.

I tend to use the cup points because they give it a little HP but are really easy to cast.

The gun I shoot these in is a Glock 35 with a KKM barrel. It is a little finiky on what boolit nose will feed - this one works flawlessly.
