Its been over 8 years since I did anything with casting bullets, moved a few times in town and then out of state. Finally got all the casting equipment out of boxes, made a bench in the garage and set up.

Here is what I did yesterday. 400grPB powder coated and PBGC'd for 45-70

267488 267489

Ok, I did a lot more then the 5 there.....
I did 2 thin coats because it is HUMID HERE!!!!!! Well, ok the fires all around may be sucking out some moisture but its still way too humid. Cant wait until I can work up loads for them, see if it makes ANY difference at all with the powder coating and PBGC.. ??????

Heat treating at different time intervals today to see what difference it makes in hardness over 2 week period.
cant wait to see if there is a difference.

Flailguy,
Its the Accurate 46-405V I had Tom @ Accurate make molds to mimic Beartooth's piledriver's back in 2010 or 11 for my 45-70 when Marshal was having problems keeping up with orders.
Powder Coating was a lot easier before I moved to Oregon!! humidity even on hot days is over 60% most of the time  California was not as humid
Being in Bakersfield would be a lot easier to PC....

Thanks...

You are definitely right about pc being easy here lol
No need to preheat boolits they are already 110*

You don't appear to have had any difficulty picking up right where you left off. Nice work.
